Late November Burglary Crime Wave in Allandale / Crestview Area of Austin, Texas
Allandale and Crestview are two family-friendly, quiet neighborhoods centrally located in Austin, Texas that have seen an explosion of crime (burglaries, robberies and two suspicious deaths) along the surrounding commercial streets (Burnet Rd, Anderson Lane, Koenig Lane, North Lamar) since November 18th.
The past ten days have seen the following crimes in the Allandale / Crestview neighborhoods of Central Austin:
EARLY WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18th - Austin Bike Farm on Burnet Road: Robber Smashes Front Window and Steals Rare $9,000 bike
Austin Bike Farm burglar breaks the front window and steals most expensive bike in the shop: a $9,000 Rocky Mountain Instinct 70 BC Edition. “We've been here just over a year and this is the first time we've been burglarized, but usually it's more like a shoplifting scenario, but this time it was blatant smash and grab go,” said owner Owen Weber.
EARLY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd - Flow Yoga on Anderson Lane: Robbers Smash Locks and Steal $20,000 in Tech, Goods and Cash
"A north Austin yoga studio is facing tens of thousands of dollars in losses after it was broken into Monday morning. Flow Yoga on West Anderson Lane says thieves destroyed two of the studio’s steel doors to enter in the early morning hours.
The studio reported on Facebook that they got away with $10,000 to $20,000 worth of equipment, money and inventory products.
KXAN also reports that "clothing, jewelry and artwork" were stolen, along with the "equipment the studio uses to live stream yoga classes". Flow Yoga says the thieves ran away after their security guard scared them off at 4:30 am.

EARLY WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25th - Texaco / 2222 Market on Koenig Lane: Robbed by Gun and Knifepoint
Texaco / 2222 Market on 1112 W. Koenig Lane (Citizen app screengrab has address listed incorrectly) robbed by GUN and KNIFEPOINT at 12:08 am on November 25. Suspect was not apprehended. No Austin news hacks reported this crime.
FRIDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 27th - Two Suspicious Deaths: Midtown Commons at Crestview Station on North Lamar Blvd
Two suspicious deaths at Midtown Commons at Crestview Station complex, near the intersection of N. Lamar Blvd and W. Anderson Ln. More from Fox 7 Austin:
"The investigation is going on in the 800 block of Sugaree Avenue where police say officers responded to a check welfare call at just after 9 a.m."
"Officers arrived and knocked on the door but there was no answer. Management was called and officers were let into the home where officers found two people dead in the bedroom."
SATURDAY AFTERNOON, NOVEMBER 28th - Marq on Burnet Apartments | Mailroom Burglary
The Marq on Burnet at 6701 Burnet Rd mailroom was robbed by a white man with blue jeans, gray jacket and winter hat. The Austin Police Department K-9 Unit was called on the scene and police established a perimeter. A burglary suspect fled the building on foot and was last seen at the Northeast corner of The Marq on Burnet. The suspect was not apprehended. No Austin news hacks reported this crime.
